Montana Bentonite is a privately owned and operated mine and manufacturing venture. We purchased the resource property  from Pegasus Mining in 2002. The mine is located along the North side of I-90 at the Gregson/Fairmont interchange, which is about halfway between Butte MT and Anaconda MT, at exit #211. Gregson MT is the original townsite and Fairmont MT the current town name around the hot springs resort.

We own this resource wholly, so when you purchase from us you are getting supplied from the source, not a third party. We harvest, produce, process and package all of our own materials and goods. We take seriously our responsibility for your satisfaction.

We began production and sales of materials for construction and water control in the summer of 2002. We began producing all-natural cosmetic and health care products in 2004. We specialize in calcium bentonite as an all-natural product and ingredient Made in Montana and Made in America.

Montana Bentonite is a member of the Clay Minerals Society and our local Butte Gem and Minerals Club and the Natural Products Association. We recommend these to you for good and reliable information. I have posted links to the CMS and NPA on this site. I'll be posting more good sites as we grow.

Periodicals and books are readily available on natural materials and products and we recommend these to you for your investigations and understanding. It is our Policy and practice to be candid with information and descriptions as we have validation of and confidence in and to not extend into anecdotal, unsubstantiated or unproven claims and benefits.

 

This is an American company.

We have not converted our products sizes and labeling to metric equivalents. It is not expected that we would do so in the foreseeable future. Conversion tools and tables are readily available for users as may be needed. Also for now we are not pursuing international sales of our products. Other calcium bentonites are available overseas in diverse areas. Special accommodations could be made if called upon, but shipping costs and time requirements are usually such that we are not interested in so wasting our time or our buyers money.

In addition to credit cards, we accept Cashiers, personal and business checks and Money Orders. Yes, there will be the typical 3-5 business days delay for check clearing, but we will also establish an in-house account following new orders and so will be willing to ship future orders on receipt. Customers who do not damage this offer will continue to have a house account to expedite processing.

We ship every work day as needed (not Sundays, some Saturdays), so our standard procedure is to have every order out within two weeks of receipt and our goal is to ship in two or three days.

We are interested in hearing from and to communicating with you. Please let us hear your concerns, interests, experiences, etc., we willl reply to the best of our knowledge and ability.
