Store Policies


Accepted Methods of Payment. We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. We have also been approved for e-check payment and EFT (mostly for businesses), if these are of interest to you.

We will also accept personal checks (with a 10-day hold for the check to clear). During the processing time we will establish an in-house identity for you so that with subsequent orders we can fill without this delay. So long as we don't get taken advantage of, we will maintain this open account for repeat buyers.


Shipping Time. The time needed to ship merchandise will vary depending on the shipment's location and the particular time of year. We usually ship on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Customers should expect a 7-10 day delivery time.

Ours is a seasonal production cycle and, while we try to maintain sufficient stock to carry processing through to the next late-Spring beginning, we cannot always promise this.

Keeping stock and supplies on hand through Valentine's Day is a target for us.

We are always happy to update you on our production and supplies status via e-mail if you would like to inquire.


Shipping Methods.

Merchandise will be shipped using USPS Flat Rate boxes where possible. Generally, this is going to be least expensive. Our next-best option is the standard USPS Ground Freight. Our powder products will not suffer if exposed to freezing.

Please let us know if you have any special requirements.


Damaged Shipments. Please look at your received packages carefully. Damaged shipments from handling must be claimed with the freight carrier.

If any cartons are missing or damaged, be sure to note this on the freight bill.

If you notice concealed damage after the driver has left, keep all the packing and call the freight carrier to return and inspect the damage and file a claim. We are not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier. To be sure, though, our product containers are of good quality and we package them carefully so that we expect them to be durable to all but very serious mis-adventure during transit.


Manufacturers Defects. If a product appears to have a manufacture’s defect, please do contact us at your earliest convenience. We warranty completely all of our products. If something seems wrong with it, please let us pay the freight to get it back and have a look at it.

If you just are not satisfied with a product, we will also warranty it from you. You don't even have to send it back. Just e-mail us to let us know and we will give you your money back. Please be advised, though, that in doing so, given the many uses of our clay products, what we understand you to be saying is that you have no further interest in these products and we will remove you from our customer base. Thank you for trying our products.

Do not return products to us without first contacting us to receive instructions.


Stores Return Merchandise Policy. We will accept return goods from you. You have 30 days from the ship date to receive refunds.

Any noticed defect, or if a customer returns with an apparently defective product, we trust that you will contact us at your earliest convenience for full refund or replacement as you wish.

For return without cause, please email us a refund request to support @montanabentonite.com (with "RETURN" in the subject field), at which time the return authorization number (RA#) with return instructions will be sent to you. Products being returned must have a RA# issued before return. We may have to charge a 15% restocking fee, but will waive this if possible.

If you received a different product or products than purchased please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we may get the correct products sent out.

Once a return is authorized by our return department you should keep your shipping records for proof of shipment in the event of loss of returned merchandise. Returns shipped via U.S. Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) or with a value of over $100.00 need to be insured.

 


We can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error. You are responsible for all freight charges on shipments that are refused or returned with no fault on our part. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages or losses to products, errors in shipping your order, or other errors.
